PAUL KORVER AS CHRIS HUGHES
Paul Korver
joined the long-running CBS daytime drama As the World Turns in
September 1999 as Chris Hughes, son of Bob and Kim Hughes.
Korver was born in Hartville, OH, and moved to Bellevue, WA at the
age of five, with his parents, Gig and Marilyn. When he was twelve, he moved
again to Pleasanton, CA, where he graduated from Amador Valley High. He then
attended UCLA, from which he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology. He has
two younger brothers, Matthew and Kevin, and a younger sister, Meleah.
The actor starred in the TNT movie Chips '99. His theater
credits include Broken Heart, House of Blue Leaves and What
Were You Thinking.
Korver volunteered with homeless teens in Hollywood, and worked in
East L.A. to help organize immigrant laborers into unions. When asked what his
most interesting job was, he replied, "Making a documentary on the women
in the Zapatista indigenous army in Chiapas, Mexico." In addition, he is
currently at work on his second screenplay.
In his spare time,
Korver enjoys antique hunting and playing football and guitar. His birthday is
November 18. He currently resides in New York City.
